Excerpt from Register of All Officers and Agents, Civil, Military, and Naval, in the Service of the United States, on the Thirtieth of September, 1871: Showing the State or Territory From Which Each Person Was Appointed to Office, the State or Country in Which He Was Born, and the Compensation, Pay, and Emoluments Allowed to Each Resolved, That said register shall contain a correct list _of the presidents, cashiers, and directors of the Bank of the United States and its branches in office on the thirtieth of September, eighteen hun dred and thirty-three, which list shall be transmitted by the president of said bank to the Secretary of State by the first Monday of October, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three. Resolved, That all Biennial Registers, under the said resolution of April twenty-seventh, one then sand eight hundred and sixteen, shall, hereafter be compiled and published conformably to the princi ples therein and hereby established.
