The Auditor General provides independent opinions and evaluations on the financial and administrative management of the Government and its related entities in the public sector. The annual report contains financial audits, value for money audits, and compliance with authorities audits. Appendices include a mission statement, government entities and trust funds audited by the Auditor General and by private sector auditors, and whose financial statements are included in the public accounts. Audits, special, and other reports issued to date are included.

The Office was created to promote, uphold, and protect the rights created by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This annual report provides the background to the Act and explains the mandate of the Office and the role of the Commissioner. It also contains summaries of selected reviews and complaints and the full text of the Commissioner's orders.

The Provincial Auditor has a mandate to report annually on the fairness and consistency in reporting of the Province's financial statements and to disclose accounts or essential records improperly maintained, and on monies spent without due regard to economy and efficiency.This annual report contains comments on cross-ministry and special audits, comments on ministry and crown agency audits, the public accounts of the province, the Office, the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and a list of exhibits, including the status of previous annual report recommendations, and orders from the Management and Treasury boards.
