The vice chancellor has concurrent jurisdiction with the chancellor, in said district, in all cases where the amount in controversy does not exceed five hundred thousand dollars. An appeal lies from the District to the Superior Court of Chancery, unless, by consent of both parties, the case is taken directly to the High Court of Enors and Appeals.
