Saaxx Alien Hybrid

Book Description

"I never imagined wanting a male, but there's something extraordinary about the allure of a Human." Saaxx's life has been a solitary journey since her youth. The tragic loss of her family in a clan feud forged her fierce independence—a trait she takes immense pride in. Refusing assistance from the males of her clan, she's resorted to a drastic measure: acquiring a male slave from an unfamiliar species, a damaged soul with a dubious reputation. However, as her pheromones signal her readiness for mating, it's this enigmatic slave who rises to her defense, surprising Saaxx and awakening unexpected feelings within her. Tex, a man haunted by memory loss and post-traumatic-stress-disorder after leaving military service, leads a solitary life as a truck driver—the only occupation that grants him the solitude he needs during his battles with severe episodes. His existence takes a surreal turn when he's abducted by aliens, a move that infuriates him yet mystifies him further as he discovers he can understand their language. The abduction unearths buried memories, but to his surprise, they don't belong to the earthly war he once fought. Sold to a female alien who appears to hold the key to his mental anguish, Tex becomes determined to repay her kindness by shielding her from unwanted advances by her male clan members, even if it means risking his life. What neither of them comprehends is that Tex conceals a profound secret, one that binds their destinies in ways they could never have fathomed. As their lives intersect and their connection deepens, Saaxx and Tex embark on a journey of discovery, desire, and the astonishing power of love, transcending the boundaries of worlds and species. All my scifi romance books are enemies to lovers standalone stories. However, characters from my stories appear throughout the series linking the world I’m building. My stories have everything—action, adventure, fighting, alien males, feisty strong females, romance, love, and steam. But most important of all, they all have happy ever after endings.

Zarros Alien Hybrid

Book Description

In the pursuit of vengeance, I discovered the need for something far more profound—love. Zarrus's harrowing three-year confinement on the desolate Planet Prismn was orchestrated by his treacherous step-sister, Zyle. Drugged, bound, and bribed, he was shipped away alongside a cargo of convicted convicts, all part of Zyle's ruthless scheme to seize his estate. Now free from the prison fortress, Zarrus roams the planet's unforgiving surface, locked in a constant battle for survival, nursing his desire for revenge, and seeking an escape from this living nightmare. A glimmer of hope emerges when he witnesses a struggling Taraquet shuttle crash-landing in the distance. But what he discovers within that wreckage will not only alter the course of his destiny but also thrust him deeper into the perilous unknown. Meanwhile, Nina yearns for redemption and a fresh start. Having served her five-year sentence, she emerges from confinement with a newfound longing—for love, family, and a brighter future. As she steps out into the world on her release day, she hopes that her prayers for a better life will finally be answered. Eager to put her past behind her, she embarks on a hitchhiking journey, determined to leave her past far behind. Little did she expect to be picked up by beings not of this world. Awakening in a place that makes her former penitentiary seem like a theme park, she can't help but question the cosmic forces at play. Why did fate lead her to this bewildering and unforgiving realm? As Nina and Zarrus' worlds collide, their shared journey becomes a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of love in the most unexpected of places.

Wheat Evolution and Domestication

Book Description

This open access book covers a century of research on wheat genetics and evolution, starting with the discovery in 1918 of the accurate number of chromosomes in wheat. We re-evaluate classical studies that are pillars of the current knowledge considering recent genomic data in the wheat group comprising 31 species from the genera Amblyopyrum, Aegilops, Triticum, and other more distant relatives. For these species, we describe morphology, ecogeographical distribution, phylogeny as well as cytogenetic and genomic features. For crops, we also address evolution under human selection, namely pre-domestication cultivation and domestication. We re-examine the genetic and archeological evidence of where, when, and how domestication occurred. We discuss unique aspects of genome evolution and maintenance under polyploidization, in natural and synthetic allopolyploids of the wheat group. Finally, we propose some thoughts on the future prospects of wheat improvement. As such, it can be of great interest to wheat researchers and breeders as well as to plant scientists and students interested in plant genetics, evolution, domestication, and polyploidy.

Alien Species and Evolution

Book Description

In Alien Species and Evolution, biologist George W. Cox reviews and synthesizes emerging information on the evolutionary changes that occur in plants, animals, and microbial organisms when they colonize new geographical areas, and on the evolutionary responses of the native species with which alien species interact. The book is broad in scope, exploring information across a wide variety of taxonomic groups, trophic levels, and geographic areas. It examines theoretical topics related to rapid evolutionary change and supports the emerging concept that species introduced to new physical and biotic environments are particularly prone to rapid evolution. The author draws on examples from all parts of the world and all major ecosystem types, and the variety of examples used gives considerable insight into the patterns of evolution that are likely to result from the massive introduction of species to new geographic regions that is currently occurring around the globe. Alien Species and Evolution is the only state-of-the-art review and synthesis available of this critically important topic, and is an essential work for anyone concerned with the new science of invasion biology or the threats posed by invasive species.
