The 5th edition published in 1975 was the last update of the book done by a student of Dr. Grossman, Dr. Richard Getty DVM, PhD. of Iowa State University Ames, IA. Dr Getty, ill at the time with cancer never saw the book published but along with the efforts of his foremost student Dr. Nani Ghoshal Dr Vetmed PhD., professor of Veterinary Anatomy, Iowa State University, plus others the last edition is true to the previous editions. It is an indepth study of domestic animal anatomy of the type that is found lacking in newer books of veterinary anatomy. Each chapter sets forth the anatomy of the animal in detail done by foremost anatomical expert of that animal at the time the book was published. This book is a must for the serious student of Veterinary Anatomy or Veterinary Surgery.
