Nearshore Sediment Distribution, Southwestern Lake Michigan

Book Description

The goal of this study is three-fold: first, to characterize the nearshore zone of the field area in terms of its form, or bathymetry, and its sediment distribution pattern; second, to identify changes in those characteristics over the period of study and over the 20- to 30-year period since the last study of the area; third, to test quantitative statements of the equilibrium concept against sediment distribution patterns found in the field.
