This document lists items that should be considered in each aspect of the design of a solar industrial process heat system. These design considerations are based on information obtained from the design and operation of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) solar industrial process heat field tests. The collector technologies covered are flat-plate, evacuated tube, and line focus, since these systems have been employed to date in the DOE field test program.
