Spiritual Trilogy

Book Description

This trilogy combines three books published previously: A Christian Guide to Spirituality, Life in Tension, and Called Along the Way. Together they chronicle a spiritual journey during the period from 2013 through 2017. The first two books focus on the question—who is God?—while the third book focuses on the question—who are we? The call to faith and ministry is personal but it is also corporal, being informed by the community of faith at one time and in one place. The original books have been reproduced as published. Offering them together makes them available more economically and draws attention to their common purpose. Because spirituality is lived belief, it is important to reflect on what we say we believe and what we actually practice. This reflective process is inherently stressful but it is a normal part of our Christian journey as we prepare in this life for the next. Hear the words; walk the steps; experience the joy! Author Stephen W. Hiemstra (MDiv, PhD) is a slave of Christ, husband, father, tentmaker, writer, and speaker. He lives with Maryam, his wife of 30+ years, in Centreville, VA and they have three grown children. Key words for this book include: Beatitudes, Christianity, spirituality, memoir, Christian memoir, Jesus, Bible, devotion, spiritual growth, and faith. Other books by T2Pneuma Publishers LLC include: A Christian Guide to Spirituality (2014) Una Guía Cristiana a la Espiritualidad (2015) My Travel Through Life (2016) Oraciones ( 2016) Prayers (2016) Life in Tension (2016) Prayers of a Life in Tension (2016) Called Along the Way (2017) See: T2Pneuma.com for more details. ****************** What people are saying... Stephen provides a helpful, accessible guide using the classic catechetical structure of the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and the Ten Commandments. - David A. Currie, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (In reference to A Christian Guide to Spirituality) We live in a fallen world. It leads to life in tension, and sometimes a life full of stress. Stephen Hiemstra takes us on a needed tour of the kind of character it takes to face such a life. - Darrell L. Bock, Dallas Theological Seminary (In reference to Life in Tension) Have you ever wondered if the church in America is mortally wounded? Is God really dead as the infamous 1966 Time magazine cover reported? This memoir offers evidence to the contrary. — Aaron Gordon, Pastor (In reference to Called Along the Way)

A Trilogy That Explains Spiritual Growth

Book Description

In A Trilogy That Explains Spiritual Growth, Jacqueline McNeil Watts has written and published under one cover, three books that reveal information that used to be taught in mystery schools to an elite audience. These Ageless Wisdom teachings are truths that have been hidden and/or misunderstood by Earth’s humanity for many, many years. Due to our current level of evolution, we are now ready to receive and understand this information. We are also ready to learn how we can participate consciously in our growth from third-dimensional human beings to fifth-dimensional spirit beings, and how we are co-creating a new Earth along with more evolved beings and with the Supreme Creator of all that exists. This trilogy will be a rewarding and delightful eye-opener to those who wish to understand spiritual truths on a deeper level than that which is presented by most religions.

The Religious Sense

Book Description

The Religious Sense, the fruit of many years of dialogue with students, is an exploration of the search for meaning in life. Luigi Giussani shows that the nature of reason expresses itself in the ultimate need for truth, goodness, and beauty. These needs constitute the fabric of the religious sense, which is evident in every human being everywhere and in all times. So strong is this sense that it leads one to desire that the answer to life's mystery might reveal itself in some way.

Nietzsche's Enlightenment

Book Description

While much attention has been lavished on Friedrich Nietzsche’s earlier and later works, those of his so-called middle period have been generally neglected, perhaps because of their aphoristic style or perhaps because they are perceived to be inconsistent with the rest of his thought. With Nietzsche’s Enlightenment, Paul Franco gives this crucial section of Nietzsche’s oeuvre its due, offering a thoughtful analysis of the three works that make up the philosopher’s middle period: Human, All too Human; Daybreak; and The Gay Science. It is Nietzsche himself who suggests that these works are connected, saying that their “common goal is to erect a new image and ideal of the free spirit.” Franco argues that in their more favorable attitude toward reason, science, and the Enlightenment, these works mark a sharp departure from Nietzsche’s earlier, more romantic writings and differ in important ways from his later, more prophetic writings, beginning with Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The Nietzsche these works reveal is radically different from the popular image of him and even from the Nietzsche depicted in much of the secondary literature; they reveal a rational Nietzsche, one who preaches moderation instead of passionate excess and Dionysian frenzy. Franco concludes with a wide-ranging examination of Nietzsche’s later works, tracking not only how his outlook changes from the middle period to the later but also how his commitment to reason and intellectual honesty in his middle works continues to inform his final writings.

SPIRIT BY THE SEA TRILOGY - A NEW LIFE - BOOK 1

Book Description

SPIRIT BY THE SEA TRILOGY - A NEW LIFE - BOOK 1 is a book from the GALACTIC GRANDMOTHER PAST LIFE SERIES. On an ancient Pacific island, a tradition of holy men has been passed down from the ancestors. The holy men live in a peaceful, high mountain camp. They gather plants to make medicines, commune with the spirits of ancestors, then travel from village to village giving medicines, guidance, and blessing the villagers. The holy man is welcomed by all villages, and when he asks an intuitive, young boy to be his assistant and learn medicine, it is an honor. In Book One, Kai is a boy that would rather meditate alone by a waterfall than fish with his father and brothers. When asked to become the holy man's assistant, despite having to leave his family and village, Kai readily accepts. He travels with the holy man, and older assistant Konani, to the mountain camp where he will begin his training. Kai begins a new life that he could never have imagined. What started as a peaceful life in the mountain camp, is soon shattered by the threat of war. He meets Kekoa, a giant of a man, that is a warrior and champion for peace. Kekoa tells the holy man of a young chieftain, that lusts for power, and plans to make war on the villages. Although Kai still has a lot to learn, he has acquired enough knowledge of local plants and making medicines, to receive the sacred initiation ceremony bringing him into the ancestral lineage of medicine men. Kai becomes one of the youngest medicine men on the island. Kai suffers great loss, and must grow up quickly, yet he finds comfort in exploring the island and immersing himself in his new role. Following the exciting conclusion, Kai settles into a new home and a life he very much enjoys. This book is light-encoded to assist your awakening and activations of Self-Discovery.
