This strategy demonstrates the commitment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to sustainable development. It begins with a corporate profile, an introduction on the strategy development process, an overview of achievements of the previous sustainable development strategies, and presentation of the Police's vision for sustainable development. It then presents the strategy goals, objectives, & targets and an action plan to meet those targets in three areas: sustainable communities, stewardship of resources, and corporate responsibility in sustainable business practices & capacity building. The final sections include information on strategy implementation, performance evaluation & reporting, and consultations on sustainable development with other government departments.
