There is generally little doubt in anyone's mind that there is a strong need and desire to have adequate training facilities for the fire service. The value that is received from a training facility is very evident. The purpose of this research paper was to survey the fire service of Pennington County and get the firefighters opinion if there is the desire and adequate potential usage of a county training facility for the 18 volunteer fire departments and the Rapid City Fire Department that serve Pennington County.
