Mechanical Properties of Wrought Tungsten

Book Description

Tensile and creep properties to 5000° F were determined for wrought unalloyed tungsten sheet in order to establish design criteria. Three lots of material, prepared in accordance to the same specification, were used. Hardness and tensile values below 2500° F could be correlated for entire lots of material. Correlation was found at strain rate and hold time versus tensile strength properties or elongation values, at certain temperatures. Properties varied with powder lot to such an extent as to affect design parameters.

The Engineering Properties of Tungsten and Tungsten Alloys

Book Description

The results of a state-of-the-art survey covering tungsten and ten of its alloys are presented. All data are given in tabular and graphical form covering some of the more important physical, mechanical, and metallurgical properties for each material. References are given at the conclusion of each material section.
