Test and Test Procedures for SAE 100R Series Hydraulic Hose and Hose Assemblies *HS-150/2000*

Book Description

This SAE Standard gives methods for testing and evaluating performance of the SAE 100R series of hydraulic hose and hose assemblies (hose and attached end fittings) used in hydraulic fluid power systems. Specific tests and performance criteria for evaluating hose assemblies used in hydraulic service are in accordance with the requirements for hose in the respective specifications of SAE J517. his document further establishes a uniform means of testing and evaluating performance of hydraulic hose assemblies.

Test and Test Procedures for SAE 100R Series Hydraulic Hose and Hose Assemblies

Book Description

This SAE Standard gives methods for testing and evaluating performance of the SAE 100R series of hydraulic hose and hose assemblies (hose and attached end fittings) used in hydraulic fluid power systems.Specific tests and performance criteria for evaluating hose assemblies used in hydraulic service are in accordance with the requirements for hose in the respective specifications of SAE J517.This document further establishes a uniform means of testing and evaluating performance of hydraulic hose assemblies. The pressure impulse wave forms for the high pressure and low-pressure tests in Figures 2 and 3 were inconsistent and the support notes were presented differently. This was the same situation in ISO 6605 and was corrected in the latest version - ISO 6605:2017.The pressure impulse wave forms for the high pressure and low-pressure tests in Figures 2 and 3 were redrawn and a key was added along with supporting notes.SAE J343 has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE Five-Year Review policy.

TESTS AND PROCEDURES FOR SAE 100R SERIES HYDRAULIC HOSE AND HOSE ASSEMBLIES

Book Description

This standard is intended to establish uniform methods for the testing and performance evaluation of the SAE 100R Series of hydraulic hose and hose assemblies. The specific tests and performance criteria applicable to each variety of hose and/or assemblies made therefrom are set forth in the respective specifications of SAE J517.

Optional Test Procedures for Hydraulic Hose Assemblies

Book Description

The procedures contained in this SAE Recommended Practice have been developed to establish uniform methods for impulse and high temperature circulation testing of hydraulic hose assemblies under special conditions not specified in SAE J343 for SAE J517 hoses.Basic test procedures are to be in accordance with SAE J343 except as modified in this document. J1405 has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE five-year review policy.

Optional Impulse Test Procedures for Hydraulic Hose Assemblies

Book Description

The procedures contained in this SAE Recommended Practice have been developed to establish uniform methods for impulse testing of hydraulic hose assemblies under special conditions not specified in SAE J343 for SAE J517 hoses. Basic impulse test parameters are to be in accordance with SAE J343 except as modified in this document.

Tests and Procedures for High Temperature Transmission Oil Hose, Engine Lubricating Oil Hose, and Hose Assemblies

Book Description

This SAE Standard is intended to establish uniform methods for testing and evaluation of hose and hose assemblies for use in high temperature transmission oil systems and high temperature lubricating oil systems using petroleum base oils within a temperature range of -40 to 150 degrees C (-40 to 302 degrees F) and a maximum working pressure of 1.5 MPa (217 psi). Hose construction, dimensions, identification, and hose fitting configurations shall be agreed upon by the supplier and user.

FLEX-IMPULSE TEST PROCEDURE FOR HYDRAULIC HOSE ASSEMBLIES

Book Description

The procedures contained herein have been developed to establish a uniform method for comparative impulse testing of hydraulic hose assemblies with and without flexing in order to determine the effect of flexing on ultimate life of hose. The test method minimizes variables to give a comparison between flexing and non-flexing. Basic impulse test parameters are to be in accordance with SAE J343 except as modified to incorporate flexing. This test is not a requirement for SAE J517 hose.
