Book Description

Excerpt from Canadian Congregational Year Book, 1881-82 Our determination to present the year book to the Churches at the earliest possible period after the June Meetings has been adhered to, and has entailed severe work upon the Editor, while his brethren for the most part have been enjoying their holidays. The promptness with which the Secretaries of our various Socie ties have furnished their ms., -as also the earlier date of the meetings of the Union and Missionary Society of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick have been of great assistance. If brethren, ministers or laymen, would aid the Editor in future publications by suggestions and by furnishing appropriate matter, the desire to make improvements _in each edition could better be fulfilled. I wish to express my sense of obligation due to Mr. William N eish of Her Majesty's Customs, Kingston, for valuable assistance rendered in passing this edition through the press.
