This Doctor of Educational Ministry project’s purpose was to equip members of Concord Baptist Church to promote effective congregationally-led pastoral care by teaching select members specific skillsets including biblical knowledge, communication, and crisis management so that they will be able to execute a memberled pastoral care ministry aimed at helping others in spiritual and life crisis events within the church’s rural community context. This project involved surveys, training sessions, pretests and posttests, practice ministry settings, project director and participant observations.
