Peetie Wheatstraw (1902 - 1941) was the name adopted by blues singer William Bunch. In the 1930s, he was a popular singer, guitarist and also had an idiosyncratic piano style. He was one of the most recorded blues singers and accompanists with a total of 161 recorded songs.
