John Eddy, son of William Eddye and Mary Fosten, was baptized in 1597 in Cranbrook, Kent, England. He married Amie Doget, daughter of John Doget and Dorothy. They had eleven children. He died in Watertown, Massachusetts in 1684. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Vermont and Illinois.
