They were descendants of Thomas Hardeman (1750-1833), originally from Albermarle Co., Virginia and who was married to Mary Perkins (1754-1798) and Susannah Perkins (1750-1815). He was a descendant of Thomas Hardeman, a cooper from England or Wales who settled in Virginia before 1660.
