Excerpt from The Person and Ministry of the Holy Spirit While the writer was evangelizing in Europe, he received a letter from his friend, A. C. Dixon, of Baltimore, requesting his help in organizing and supervising a Conference in that city. On my return home Mr. Dixon visited me, and together we sketched the programme of the subjects, nominated speakers, and arranged concerning dates and details. On Mr. Dixon's return to Baltimore he consulted with the pastors, who, with him, formed a committee to prosecute the work in the city. To this earnest committee is due, under God, the great success which crowned the Convention. The pleasant task of correspondence with speakers and adjustment of subjects fell to my lot, as on other similar occasions. Many brethren, originally appointed to present the subjects, were detained in various ways, but others cheerfully undertook the office of teacher. The promise, "Them that honour Me I will honour," sustained our faith, and God permitted our ears to hear marvelous things throughout this four days' meeting.
