Excerpt from Municipal Record, Vol. 1: October 8, 1908 Resolved, That the Building Laws Committee of the Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and requested to appoint an Advisory Committee to serve without compensation, consisting of the following named persons to redraft and amend The Building. The Tenement House and The Plumbing Laws, for the purpose of eliminating the inconsistencies that exist therein and to annotate and codify said laws; said Advisory Committee to report to the Building Laws Committee on or before Decem ber l, 1908, to wit: Francis H. Porter, Chas. A. Day, Nathaniel Blaisdell, John Galloway, Wm. F. Wilson. John Horgau and P. H. Shaughnessy. Further Resolved. That the sum of be and the same is hereby set aside. Appropriated and authorized to be expended out of the Urgent Necessities Fund by the Building Laws Committee for the purpose of defraying expenses of necessary clerical work.
