Excerpt from Alpha Tau Omega Palm, 1896-1897, Vol. 17 The Greeks of Albion consist of Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Chi, Sigma Nu, Kappa Alpha Theta Delta Gamma, Alpha Chi Omega and last on the list, but far from least, Beta Omicron chapter of Alpha Tau Omega. Beta Omicron was ushered into the world on the 24th of May, 1889. There were twelve charter members. Homer Folks, E. R. Downing, I. D. Travis, W. L. Holmes, I. T. Weldon, L. I. Ray. W. D. Engle, B. G. Doolittle, R. M. Newman, W. H. Whit comb, W: R. Longstreet and J. G. Walters. At present, the chapter has very pleasant quarters in a large well furnished house. Part of the boys room outside, but it is a home for all. On the base-ball and foot-ball fields, in wrestling and' club swinging and in fact in most all departments of athletics the A. T. 0. Boys hold prominent places. Not alone, however, do we strive to cultivate the physical or even the mental man; but, uniting these with good moral and social qualities, we try to grow on all sides and form well rounded characters. It is only in this way that we can ever raise the standard of Beta omicron and be of some use to our beloved Alpha Tau Omega.
