Book Description

The primary objective of Office of Naval Research support of oceanographic investigations is to gain the understanding of the ocean environment required by the Navy to most effectively perform its mission of national defense. ONR-supported oceanography not only contributes to the national defense but inevitably makes significant contributions to the general oceanographic knowledge and to the attainment of national marine science program goals. The document contains abstracts of individual research projects on the ONR Ocean Science Program.
