Book Description
Excerpt from The Science and Art of Surgery, Being a Treatise on Surgical Injuries, Diseases, and Operations, Vol. 1 Notwithstanding every desire to prevent any unnecessary increase in the size of the Volumes, it has been found impossible to keep them within the limits even of the last Edition, and a considerable addition to the text has been rendered unavoidable, although much matter that was somewhat obsolete has been struck out. Several chapters have been recast, and some almost rewritten. The alterations and additions thus made have not been confined to any one part of the Work, but have been very generally distributed through the various subjects of which it treats. Many of the woodcuts have been redrawn, and nearly a hundred new illustrations have been added. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
