This book of short stories reads like a series of devotionals. Each short chapter begins with a relevant scripture and contains at least two additional scriptures as the life lesson unfolds. These stories are similar to the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" messages with one big difference: they all focus on three generations of the same family, so the reader becomes more involved with the recurring cast of characters. Even more importantly, the stories focus on God's relationship with His children. The anecdotes combine wisdom, humbling experiences, victory over adversity, and hilarious adventures into one volume that focuses on meaningful relationships and identifying God appointments. The chapters are short-usually just two or three pages, so the reader can enjoy one stand-alone story and be finished for the day or get caught up in the tales and read the entire book.
