The Gospel written by the Beloved Disciple St. Augustine once said about the Gospel of John, that, "It is shallow enough for a child not to drown, yet deep enough for an elephant to swim in it." John contains the Bible's favorite verse - John 3:16. John's themes are essential to our understanding of Jesus as Son of God and Messiah. Here we learn about the Holy Spirit, the Counselor who lives within us to guide and empower us. We learn about the Father's love and eternal life. Some of the most beloved stories of Jesus' ministry are found only in the Fourth Gospel -- changing the water into wine, the woman at the well, the woman taken in adultery, raising Lazarus, washing the disciples' feet, and many more. In John's Gospel you find Jesus as the Bread of Life; the Light of the World; the Good Shepherd; the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John's Gospel is lengthy - 21 chapters, but rich and deep. Each chapter concludes with a summary of lessons for disciples to ponder. This study's helpful thought and discussion questions make it useful for personal enrichment and by small groups and classes. Extensive research contained in the footnotes makes it a goldmine for teachers and a boon to preachers involved in sermon preparation.

These studies are included in the correspondence courses of the Bible Baptist Seminary of Fort Worth, Texas. Other Seminary and Bible Institutes are investigating and in several instances have accepted Dr. Entzminger’s Studies as text books in their regular courses. Dr. Entzminger’s books are just what the title implies – “Bible Studies,” and not just for reading. The Bible should be opened in the hands of the student and all references carefully studied. Invaluable to preachers, Bible teachers and to all Christian workers. Volumes of letters of highest commendation could be published concerning Dr. Entzminger’s work. We give three or four: Luther C. Peak, B.D., Th.M.’ L.L.D., says: “… more original truths brought to light in Dr. Entzminger’s Studies than anything I have read, than any Commentary or Exposition on the Bible I have ever studied.” The late Dr. Fred W. Dyson, Dean of Bible Baptist Seminary, and Director of Personnel, said: “It has been my privilege to read and teach some of the books Dr. Entzminger has written, and I say unreservedly, that I can recommend them wholeheartedly to anybody that loves Bible study. They are sound, scriptural, sane and very suggestive. No preacher or Sunday School teacher or Christian worker can afford to be without them.” Dr. Oscar Wells, Professor of Theology in Bible Baptist Seminary, says: “I have found his expositions of God’s Word – truly nuggets brought forth from the refiner’s pen.”

'The Story Of Jesus' is Ellen Gould White's adaptation of her own work ‘Christ Our Saviour’ for a children's audience. This beautiful narrative of Jesus' life on earth was prepared by the author's son while he was working with mostly illiterate slaves in the South of the United States. It is wonderful to read and tell, even for persons with a limited vocabulary.

For two thousand years, Christian theologians have struggled to explain the believer's union with Christ. What sort of union is it? How can it be fully described? This book is an attempt to join the conversation to explore exactly what it means to be in union with Christ. This book will argue that the believer's union with Christ can rightly be presented as a third type of perichoresis. Perichoresis is a word that describes the way the persons of the Trinity interrelate, without losing their essential oneness nor without being absorbed into each other. In short, the doctrine of perichoresis preserves the unity and diversity within the Godhead. It is also used to describe the hypostatic union of the divine and human in Christ. In Perichoretic Salvation, James Gifford argues that the union of the believer and Christ is a relationship of the same kind, though of a third type. Arguing from a perspective that is rooted biblically, historically, and theologically, the book will allow the union to be explained more fully than in the past while remaining within the bounds of what the church has taught over the centuries. It may prove to be a basis for understanding the work of Christ afresh for the twenty-first century.
