Should you take the job? Quit the job? Begin a relationship? End a relationship? Move? Plant roots? How do we find God’s will for life's big decisions? What if you had total freedom? Emerson Eggerichs believes there is a clear answer to finding God’s will. The Bible itself reveals the clue--a secret hidden in plain sight. Before launching his Love & Respect marriage ministry with wife Sarah, Emerson was a senior pastor for nearly 20 years in East Lansing Michigan. Before that, Emerson and a friend ran a free counseling center called “The Open Door” in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As Emerson navigated his career he found both he and the people he was counseling were wrestling with big decisions and knowing if that decision was really what God wanted. Immersing himself in God’s word for over 30 hours a week for 19 years, he discovered simple, clear truths that set him and many others free. There is a starting point to discovering God’s Will for your next decision and for your entire life. Begin here to read stories of people in the same situations you face today. You’ll be able to discover the freedom you’ve been searching for, and then, like Emerson, you’ll help others find that freedom too.

On the frontispiece of this tract is a woodcut, representing the name of God irradiated; below it a hand is placing a nail on a wall (of Norwich Cathedral?), and a second hand turning a double-wheel, with eyes in the rim. The frontispiece woodcut to "The Nail hit on the head" represents three columns, to the central one of which are attached, on the left, as on nails, a crown, an hour-glass (preaching-glass), a pulley; and, on the right, crossed keys, a hat, holy-water sprinkler (?), and a pitcher; to the sides of the column, on the left of the centre, a robe, a girdle (of the High Priest), and two other objects; on the pillar to the right hang a flagon, a vessel of another form, and a pair of bellows. Below is inscribed "Fideliter Ser-" This woodcut is repeated on page 49 of the sermon. On the title page of "The Nail hit on the head : and driven into the city and cathedral wall of Norwich" is a woodcut of a broad-headed nail. The text is a sermon on the verse, "And I wil fasten him a nail in a sure place; and he shal be for a glorious throne to his fathers house. Esa, 22, 23".

In these Meditations on the Glory of God, Dr. Fowler stimulates our sanctified imaginations to picture our Savior, the One who shed His blood on Calvary for our sins, in His thronal glory providentially governing, passionately seeking the lost, and programming our future. He helps us visualize in anthropomorphic, splendiferous images the glory of God, and enthusiastically describes the New Jerusalem. He brings to our sanctified imaginations the descriptions of the city and what it will be like to live there. He says, "Imagine how it will be to live for God, continually seeing His face, continually finding new opportunities to serve Him, within the splendorous and multicolored activity of that New Jerusalem. Dr. Fowler also shares with his readers God's infinite fullness. "All He is, all He has done, and is doing. Life is only life when life's meaning is to be" 'filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.' Habakkuk 2:14. Samuel W. Fowler was born November 30, 1934, in Washington, DC. He trusted Christ as his Savior October 12, 1954. He received his Th.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary and was professor of Bible and Theology for 43 years. His unique teaching and preaching style reached many students who are now serving the Lord around the world. He also served as interim pastor and full time pastor in churches in Indiana, Virginia, and Maryland. His expertise in Bible and Theology and other fields of interest led to a rich inner life and a deep relationship with the Lord, which has culminated in these Meditations on the Glory of God. Dr. Fowler was ushered into the presence of His Glory on July 11, 2008.
