Young folks' library is a 20-volume compendium of children's literature of all lands carefully selected by an editorial board led by Thomas Baily Aldrich. Each volume deals with a distinct department of letters such as stories, fairy tales, poetry, folklore, etc., or has a special theme such as adventure, exploration, nature, school, biography, history, science, etc. This volume is a collection of stories about school and college, which were selected by the male editor with an eye to the interests of boys and by the female editor with an eye to the interests of girls.
