Francis Ballenger was born in 1720, probably in Virginia. He married Sarah Conner before 1744 in Virginia. Their children included Francis, James and Edward. Their descendants settled in Tyron, North Carolina. Other localities include South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee.
