Book Description
Excerpt from Transactions of the Indiana State Medical Society, 1886: Thirty-Sixth Annual Session, Indianapolis, May 1 and 2, 1886 It affords me great pleasure to greet you at this, the thirty-sixth annual meeting of our Society, under the favorable auspices which surround us at this time. We have, probably, one of the best organizations of the kind to be found in any of the States; and Since its reorganization, eleven years ago, under the constitution by which we are now governed, its work has been done in such a systematic and methodical manner, and so little time occupied in the transaction of its executive business, that we are enabled to perform a great amount of scientific work in the two or three days that we are in session.
