Vital and Health Statistics Series 10, Number 221

Book Description

Beginning with this report, estimates are provided in two sets of tables. The first set (tables 1–18) is age-adjusted to the 2000 U.S. standard population. Age adjustment was used to permit comparison among various sociodemographic subgroups that may have different age structures (15,16). In most cases, the age groups used for age-adjustment are the same age groups presented in the tables.
