"WSDOT is aware of potential incidents that could disrupt normal operations (i.e., a continuity incident). Therefore, WSDOT has adopted an all-hazards approach to continuity planning to ensure that regardless of the event, essential functions will continue to operate and be provided in some capacity. This approach includes preparing for natural, technological, and human-caused threats and hazards. The purpose of this plan is to ensure WSDOT HQ can effectively and rapidly restore its essential functions in the event of an incident that affects its operations.
