This is the 23rd issue of the yearbook which provides a range of data on African countries generally for the years 1995 to 2003, or the last nine years for which data are available. It contains a number of sub-regional summary tables, as well as individual country tables grouped under the headings of: population; national accounts; agriculture, forestry and fishing; industry; transport, communications and international tourism; foreign trade; prices; finance and social statistics. This volume covers the fifteen countries of West Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cãte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
