Good morning. If our guests could find seats. Today, the subcommittee continues its series of hearings on the administration's health care reform proposal. During this hearing, we will focus on issues related to Medicare savings in the Presi dent's health care reform proposal. The President's plan would achieve substantial savings through reductions in the rate of growth in the Medicare program. Accord ing to administration estimates, the President's health care reform proposal would achieve $124 billion in Medicare savings in the years 1996 through 2000.
