The Naval Supply Center (NSC), a tenant of the Naval Air Station Pensacola, is one of four host activities comprising the Pensacola Naval Complex. In the performance of its assigned mission under the direction of the Commander Naval Supply Systems Command, NSC occupies and is responsible for slightly less than 800,000 square feet of space in 24 widely scattered buildings onboard NAS Southern pensacola. The NSC is a wholsale supply activity which provides logistic support world wide to naval activities, and it is the only such facility between Jacksonville, Florida and California.

The mission of the NSC Oakland, is to provide supply and support services to fleet units and shore activities, as assigned, and perform such other functions as may be assigned by the Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (COMNAVSUPSYSCOM). NSC Oakland is the Navy's largest West Coast stock point, performing a full range of supply operations in support of DOD activities throughout the United States and the Pacific Basin. In addition, NSC Oakland provides management and other support services to DOD activities in the region and throughout the Pacific, maintains deep draft berthing facilities for Navy and Military Sealift Command vessels, and provides waterfront and shore facilities to 50 tenant activites. NSC Oakland comprises four major sites. The main site occupies 541 acres on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, just south of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and adjacent to the Port of Oakland. The Alameda Facility occupies 107 acres on the Oakland Inner Harbor adjacent to the Naval Air Station (NAS) Alameda, one mile south of the main site. The Alameda Annex and Facility are considered as one site. The Point Molate Fuel Depot occupies 419 acres on San Francisco Bay in Richmond, California, sixteen miles north of the main site. NSC Oakland also occupies provision facilities in the provision of support services at six other activities in the region. The most significant support service is the Aviation Depot which leases four major buildings and spaces at NAS Alameda.

The Naval Complex Jacksonville, and this master plan, encompass five primary activities - Naval Air Station, Naval Supply Center, Naval Aviation Depot, Naval Hospital and Armed Forces Reserve Center - as well as in excess of 50 tenant commands. The complex supports several missions or services with the support of antisubmarine aircraft operations being the primary mission. Other significant missions include aircraft depot maintenance, regional supply services, regional medical services, and regular and reserve duty training. The Naval Air Station is the primary land-owning command; the Naval Hospital is also a land-owning command, and Naval Supply Center owns the fuel depot.

Naval Supply Center (NSC) San Diego, is primarily headquartered at the Navy Broadway Compound along the waterfront in downtown San Diego. This compound currently has two large and 14 smaller Navy admiinistrative office and warehouse facilities containing approximately 1 million square feet of gross floor area. The Naval Supply Center; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NAVCOMTELSTA); and Commander, Naval Base (COMNAVBASE), San Diego are the primary existing tenants. Approximately 2,100 military and civilian personnel are employed at the site. The Navy Broadway Compound is one of 18 Navy installations within the metropolitan San Diego area. The Navy presence in San Diego is nationally important because it represents approximately one-fourth of the total Navy fleet.
