Book Description
Excerpt from The Bicentennial Reunion of the Keyser Family: 1688-1888, the Keyser Family, Descendants of Dirck Keyser of Amsterdam AS the two hundredth year after the arrival of our ancestor Dirck Keyser, in Germantown, was nearing, some time in 1887, Dr. Peter Dirck Keyser, in whose possession much of the family genealogy has been preserved, suggested to the writer of this paper that some commemoration of the event would interest the family generally, and that it was, in a sense, a duty to our ancestor's memory. A year later, in the summer of 1888, it was the subject of further conversation from time to time, Dr. Keyser desiring that a stone should be erected to mark the place of our ancestor's ministry and burial.
