This book includes black & white pictures.This book provides some stories, list of descendants, and history of James Hancock Jr and Jestern Elizabeth Joyce. There are six generations of descendants shown herein. There are nine generations of ancestors of James Hancock Jr and the earliest was Thomas Hancocke born in 1525 in London, England. There are three generations of ancestors of Jestern Elizabeth Joyce and the earliest was Benjamin Joyce born in 1724 in Norfolk, Virginia.Since James was born in mid 1700's and Jestern was born late 1700's, there is no one to ask regarding them or their families. Printed records (i.e., Census Reports, Family Bibles, County/State records, etc.) are all that we have to determine their life stories and family history.

Francis Bryant Drake was born 16 October 1806 in Nash County, North Carolina. His parents were Richard Drake and Pherabah Bryant. He married Selena King (1812-1899), daughter of John King and Winifred Kemp, 6 November 1828 in Washington County, Georgia. They had eleven children. He died in Johnson County, Georgia in 1875. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia.
