Even though this work is of a scientific nature, the general public can easily understand it. The precise explanations in this book will highlight the mistakes of science and will furthermore offer insight into extraterrestrial technology, which the author calls Extratemporal. Diagrams are included. The Science of Extraterrestrials explains anti-gravitation, propulsion of UFOs, alien abductions, formation of crop circles, strange luminous phenomena, poltergeists, ghosts, postmortem survival and time travel. UFOs, Chemtrails, and Aliens

Book Description

UFOs. Aliens. Strange crop circles. Giant figures scratched in the desert surface along the coast of Peru. The amazing alignment of the pyramids. Strange lines of clouds in the sky. The paranormal is alive and well in the American cultural landscape. In UFOs, Chemtrails, and Aliens, Donald R. Prothero and Tim Callahan explore why such demonstrably false beliefs thrive despite decades of education and scientific debunking. Employing the ground rules of science and the standards of scientific evidence, Prothero and Callahan discuss a wide range of topics including the reliability of eyewitness testimony, psychological research into why people want to believe in aliens and UFOs, and the role conspiratorial thinking plays in UFO culture. They examine a variety of UFO sightings and describe the standards of evidence used to determine whether UFOs are actual alien spacecraft. Finally, they consider our views of aliens and the strong cultural signals that provide the shapes and behaviors of these beings. While their approach is firmly based in science, Prothero and Callahan also share their personal experiences of Area 51, Roswell, and other legendary sites, creating a narrative that is sure to engross both skeptics and believers.

The Biological Universe

Book Description

Throughout the twentieth century, from the furor over Percival Lowell's claim of canals on Mars to the sophisticated Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, otherworldly life has often intrigued and occasionally consumed science and the public. The Biological Universe provides a rich and colorful history of the attempts during the twentieth century to answer questions such as whether "biological law" reigns throughout the universe and whether there are other histories, religions, and philosophies outside those on Earth. Covering a broad range of topics, including the search for life in the solar system, the origins of life, UFOs, and aliens in science fiction, Steven J. Dick shows how the concept of extraterrestrial intelligence is a world view of its own, a "biophysical cosmology" that seeks confirmation no less than physical views of the universe. This book will fascinate astronomers, historians of science, biochemists, and science fiction readers.

Science, Skeptics, and UFOs: A Reluctant Scientist Explores the World of UFOs

Book Description

On a farm in central Mississippi in the 1970s, the author and his family were surprised to find themselves in the middle of a hotbed of UFO activity. In 1977 the author, a scientist, turned to the book UFOs Explained by Philip J. Klass looking for answers, but found the explanations did not really fit. For years he drifted in indecision unable to fully come to grips with what he and his family had experienced. Knowing that UFOs were a taboo subject to most mainstream scientists, he was quite reluctant to come forward on the subject of UFOs during his career. Abandoning his concerns after retirement, the author takes the reader on a journey of full disclosure and discovery. During this journey, the author discovered that his family sightings and a number of well-known Mississippi sightings were clearly related phenomena. Further findings ultimately led the author to explore the wider world of UFOs and to discover some insights never brought to light before. B. Timothy Pennington was born in Jackson, Mississippi on September 2, 1948, the second of three children. He grew up in Polkville and Morton in central Mississippi and attended East Central Community College in Decatur before entering the University of Southern Mississippi where he went on to earn a Ph. D. in chemistry in 1974. He completed two years of postdoctoral research at the USDA Eastern Regional Research Center near Philadelphia, PA as a National Research Council Research Associate and one year as a Robert A. Welsh postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Texas at Arlington before accepting a teaching position at Navarro College in Corsicana, TX. After teaching and writing scripts for chemistry videotapes for two years as part of a National Science Foundation grant, he joined the chemical industry in the Lake Charles, LA area in 1979 and stayed in the industry for 30 years. A member of the American Chemical Society for over 35 years, he has seven publications in refereed scientific journals, two trade industry publications, and 21 US patents as inventor or co-inventor. In 1970, he married the former Esther Kennedy of Forest, MS and has three adult daughters.

The Science of UFOs

Book Description

What if UFOs are real? Where could they be from, and how could they have traveled here? What advanced technology must they possess to execute the fantastic maneuvers they are routinely reported to make? Astronomer William R. Alshuler takes a fascinating look at the reported attributes of UFOs through the lens of known science and physics and explains how they might be doing the weird and incredible things they are known to do. Along the way, he examines the possibilities and problems of traveling faster than light, interdimensionally, and via teleportation, as well as the veracity of UFO reports, insights into potential alien motives, and alien biochemistry.

The Biological Universe

Book Description

Throughout the twentieth century, from the furor over Percival Lowell's claim of canals on Mars to the sophisticated Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, otherworldly life has often intrigued and occasionally consumed science and the public. Does 'biological law' reign throughout the universe? Are there other histories, religions, and philosophies outside of those on Earth? Do extraterrestrial minds ponder the mysteries of the universe? The attempts to answer these often asked questions form one of the most interesting chapters in the history of science and culture, and The Biological Universe is the first book to provide a rich and colorful history of those attempts during the twentieth century. Covering a broad range of topics, including the search for life in the solar system, the origins of life, UFOs, and aliens in science fiction, Steven J. Dick shows how the concept of extraterrestrial intelligence is a world view of its own, a 'biophysical cosmology' that seeks confirmation no less than physical views of the universe.

The New Science of the Ufo

Book Description

The New Science of the UFO now completes author and researcher Kenneth W. Behrendts groundbreaking trilogy on the subject of UFOs. It contains a complete scan of all 24 issues of a previously out of print, privately published, typescript UFO research journal titled Annals of Ufological Research Advances or AURA, for short, which was the basis for his first two volumes, Secrets of UFO Technology and The How and Why of UFOs. Practically every conceivable facet of the UFO enigma was explored in the pages of AURA at a level of scientific detail that was unprecedented in the field of ufology. Those able to obtain some of the limited number of copies of each issue available to the public learned all about such exotic topics as: the sources of the mysterious glows that envelope nocturnal UFOs; why some malfunctioning UFOs must eject liquid metals in order to correct their propulsion system problems; how alien crews tap our earthly electrical power grids to recharge their scout craft; the nature of the mysterious angel hair and devil jelly residues left by hovering craft; how alien paralysis weapons are used for their personal defense and how crews protect their mother ships from attack; how alien telepathy works; how the living space creatures known as zeroids can biologically duplicate UFO capabilities; and much, much more! The material in AURA was intended for the most serious of ufologists seeking ultimate and satisfying answers to the mysteries that they were exploring. Now for the first time in almost two decades, these answers are again available for a new generation of researchers.
